Data Science in Aviation – Digital Opportunity – Erasmus+

At Boeing Research and Technology – Europe we are applying advanced Big Data analytics technologies to
collect, process and derive insight from aviation data and enable the next generation of decision -support services
for airlines. The successful candidates will explore the application of cutting edge tools and methods to analyze
large amounts of aircraft, airline, airspace and weather data with a view to designing new information services
that can help airlines make smarter decisions that will increase the efficiency and resilience of their operations.
We expect the successful candidates to have some experience or interest in learning about tools such as RStudio,
Shinny, Jupyter Hub to analyze datasets in Hadoop, Hive, MongoDB, as well as machine learning algorithms.
We offer the opportunity to join a team of researchers working to solve real problems in the airline industry
through the use of innovative technologies that leverage the large amount of heterogeneous data available in the
international aviation ecosystem.
